Workforce development is a new pillar of development for the Development Office. While Economic Development focuses on businesses, Workforce Development focuses on the people. "Workforce development is the coordination of public and private-sector policies and programs that provides individuals with the opportunity for a sustainable livelihood and helps organizations achieve exemplary goals, consistent with the societal context."[1] We do this by bringing key players from local businesses, the schools and the many supportive services throughout the county to identify barriers and create solutions to better our workforce.
