Added May 29th, 2013:  In addition to the previously published variance request described above, one additional case has been added to the agenda for the June 11th meeting.  Case number CU13-003 is a request submitted by Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland for a Conditional Use to construct a new troop bunkhouse to add to their existing amenities. The Morrow County Board of Zoning Appeals will hold its' regularly scheduled meeting on May 14, 2013, at 7:00 P.M.  The meeting will be held in the Commissioner’s hearing room at 80 N. Walnut St. Mount Gilead, Ohio.

  • Case number CU12-018- A request submitted by Christina Harvey for a Conditional Use Permit application to allow a Private Outdoor Recreational Facility -- described by the applicant as an Agritourism development -- in an A-1 Agricultural zoning district on the Hoffman property at 1 Co. Rd. 170; parcel numbers A02-001-00-047-01, A02-001-00-047-02, A02-001-00-048-00, and A002-001-00-047-00, in Bennington Twp. Ms. Harvey’s plan includes a variety of possible uses within this designation. Note: any action taken by the BZA on this case will not be in effect until the effective date of the recent rezone request made to the Board of County Commissioners for these parcels.

Active Rezoning Cases to be on 3/25 Agenda

Two rezoning cases will be back on the agenda of the Morrow County Zoning Commission for the regular meeting on March 25th, 2013.  These cases each had their required Public Hearing on February 21st.  Subsequently, the Regional Planning Commission has voted to recommend approval of both cases.

 

The cases are as follows:

 

A request by Christina Harvey to rezone the property at 1 County Road 170 in Bennington Township (the Hoffman property, at the Delaware County line), and

 

A request by Patrick Bierce to rezone the property at 8656 County Road 30 in Washington Township, in the Iberia neighborhood.

 

The Zoning Commission is charged with making a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners for their further action.
