We're committed to making your tax experience seamless as well as Eco-Friendly. 

Property owners/taxpayers in Morrow County will now have the option of having their property tax bills sent electronically via email, instead of through the U.S. Mail. Tax bills for first half tax payments will be mailed out as usual around the middle of January and due February 16th, 2024.  On this tax bill, a box will be present for taxpayers to select and take advantage of the email option starting with the second half billing due July 12th, 2024.

What is escrow?

  • Escrow is a pre-payment program that allows you to pay monthly instead of annual or semi-annual

How does it work?

  • Taxes must be current at the time of enrollment.
  • You will receive coupons to pay the upcoming half taxes.
    • 1st half coupons are for monthly payments for August-December
    • 2nd half coupons are for monthly payments for February-June
    • Payment options include: ACH, CREDIT/DEBIT CARD, ELECTRONIC CHECK, CASH, PERSONAL CHECK

In order to serve you better and process payments in a timelier manner, 1st and 2nd half taxes for Manufactured Homes and Real Estate payments remitted by mail will now go to a Payment Center at Post Office Box 2013, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 and posted by 1:00pm on the day they are received. 

During 1st and 2nd half collections for Real Estate or Manufactured Home Property Taxes, you may still come into the Treasurer’s office to make your payments or you may pay at the Morrow County Federal Credit Union.   You may also submit your payments online at morrowcountyohio.gov/government/treasurer.  Additionally, you may still pay by phone to our office by Electronic Check, Debit Card, or Credit Card if you prefer.

"Vision 8" coming to Morrow County
  
The Auditor & Treasurer's Offices have started the transition to a new Real Estate software called Vision 8. Vision 8 is CAMA & Tax software designed as state-of-the-art technology which offers cloud hosted access and advanced appraisal configurations.

From September 6, 2022 to October 31, 2022,  Auditor & Treasurer's Office will be open for PUBLIC access (in person) from 10 to 2pm Monday to Friday except all Federal Holidays. While in person hours are 10-2, the Treasurer's Office hours will continue to be 8-4 Monday thru Friday. We will be there to answer the phones with any questions or concerns you may have! Beginning November 1, 2022, until December 31 2022, the public access hours will be 10-4.

Our office is constantly working to help out the tax paying residents of  Morrow County. I am pleased to inform you that, effective immediately, we have a reduction in two fees being charged!

The credit card fee has been reduced from 2.65% to 2.50%! The E check fee has been reduced from $2.75 to $1.00! You can now pay with a debit card for a fee of $3.50. Please consider these options moving forward, when paying your taxes!

2023 Real Estate and 2024 Mobile Home Tax Due Dates
1st Half 2023 Real Estate Taxes due February 16, 2024.
2nd Half 2023 Real Estate Taxes due July 12, 2024
1st Half 2024 Mobile Home Taxes due March 1, 2024.
2nd Half 2024 Mobile Home Taxes due July 31, 2024

A 5% penalty goes into affect the first 10 days after the due date. On the 11th day, a 10% penalty applies.

Ways to submit payment:
1. Mail them to my office. (address above) Must be post marked by February 11th & March 1st to eliminate late fees & interest.
2. Call my office & pay by electronic check ($1.00 fee) or credit card (2.65% fee) or debit card ($3.50 fee).
3. Go on-line & pay by electronic check ($1.00 fee) or credit card (2.65% fee) or debit card ($3.50 fee). This link can be found on the Treasurer's or Auditor's website.
4. Drop payment in the RED box, located at the corner of the Engineer's building, in the courthouse parking lot. Must be a personal check, a certified check or a money order. NO CASH! Address envelope to Treasurer's Office.
5. Stop in at the office.
6. The Morrow County Federal Credit Union will accept real estate payments.

If you wish to have a receipt, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your payment.
